Competition: Win £400 to spend at Dwell

Dwell UK

It can be so hard to get your home looking as you’d like it when you’re working to a budget – sometimes it seems to take forever to work through the shopping list of things you need when decorating a new place. I’ve had to set myself a rule of only one new house item a month, which means that a year into our tenancy the house STILL isn’t finished!

Well, if you’re in a similar predicament, help is at hand! The lovely folks over at Dwell are offering one Decorenvy reader the chance to win a £400 voucher to spend on their site. Their range is vast, so whether you’re into the rough industrial look, metallic or just clean minimalism, there’s heaps on the site that you’ll love. There are some ideas below, or you can go explore for yourself here.

Lucy started writing Decorenvy as a scrapbook to record ideas when she began decorating her own place in 2013. Her frustration at the lack of alternatives to high street brands and catalogue decorating has since seen it evolve into a sourcebook for unusual and interesting design, complete with tours of beautiful homes and the occasional ill-advised DIY project.

  1. What a super competition. I really like Dwell products and have bought before so I know the quality is good and I’ve recommended clients to use Dwell. Sourcing a coffee table at the moment, for my lounge, and I’ve just seen it on the Dwell site: 100cm square marble top. I’ll have to top up the prize money but that will be just fine. Hoping to win!

  2. Having bought from Dwell before I know the quality is good and I’ve recommended to clients as well. I’m sourcing a coffee table for my lounge and I’ve just seen the one! It’s marble top looks super cool, so I’m hoping to win this prize to buy the 100cm square marble top coffee table. I’ll happily add the extra!

  3. I need another table for my office and have been lusting after their glass table for ages. Then I’d get a few accessories to glam things up!

  4. Been in my new house for 6 months and still looks like i moved in yesterday! I’d love some of these things to sort out my clutter.

  5. I’d spend the £400 on making the living room in my house feel like more of a living room! It’s the first house I’ve owned and although I’ve been doing the odd DIY project here and there, my budget is the one thing really holding me back. A Dwell voucher + the designs I have for the space would really create an area I can be proud of and feel thoroughly at home!

  6. I’ve just bought a house! We’ve spent some much on mortgage fees (UGH!) that I would love to spend £400 on all the finer things in life. I want to make my house feel like a home. Plus, when I have guests over, it’s a great conversation starter. “Wheres that lamp from?” “Actually, I won a competition, Dwell are the best…” etc etc.

  7. Tell us what you’d do with your £400 voucher!
l’d give it some serious thought then blow it on whatever took my fancy

  8. Oh wow, what wouldn’t I do?! I have always said I’d have a lovely home if only I had the money to decorate it, as I’m quite good at interior style. I spend most of my time in the living room, so I’d revamp it completely, no more mish-mash furniture, and buy some classic, quality pieces that will last years to come x

  9. Ooh, I would either use it towards the multicoloured pop rug that I’ve been in love with forever or I’d use it towards making my living room a bit more stylish as, being a new mum, my house is being overrun with baby stuff! It would be great to reclaim some style again!

  10. I’d buy the Sleek Dining Table in white. I’d use it for entertaining, reading papers and drinking papers in the morning and my laptop (for writing my bestseller!)

  11. We need a new mattress as the one we have isn’t great for my back so I’d put the money towards a new one. The cotton pocket sprung king looks good 🙂

  12. I would get a lovely new sofa…we currently have brown wipe clean ones – practical with the children around, but oh so ugly!

  13. I’d buy new lights, as we will need these when we finish our renovations, and I love the industrial look of some of the lights in their range.

  14. I would use the voucher to choose lots of new accessories for my living room and bathroom as we are doing them up and giving them a makeover.

  15. Feels a bit cruel asking us to choose from a site full of treasures. Practicality rules the day though because I desperately need a new bed – the Malone bed double white is rather nice

  16. Crikey there are so many things I would like to spend the money on. i would probably start with occasional tables and lamps….. but I suspect I would get a tad carried away after that and would probably have to subsidise the win with my credit card. Good luck all!

  17. I’m moving into a new flat with my boyfriend next month and we have no living room furniture, so would spend it on things like sofa, coffee table and dining table and chairs!

  18. I would love a bit of “quirk” so I’d choose the Goatskin Rectangular Stool, the Bull Dog Table Lamp and the Circular Side Table in Claret 🙂

  19. I’ve browsed at Dwell so many times, it would be fantastic to buy something! Mid century modern is the theme in our house and I would love to accessorise the bedroom which is the first room in our house we are (slowly) trying to make amazing. Good luck everyone!!

  20. I’d inject some colour into my living room. Now the kids are gone off to Uni, I’d like to do away with the practical dark colours and really liven the place up.

  21. Since moving house three years ago my books have not seen the light of day. I would love to get some modern, minimalist shelving to display my (not insignificant) collection.

  22. My bedroom, like me, is very tired and feels old so with £400 Dwell vouchers I would refresh and revitilise it (and hopefully me!).

  23. I haven’t got a single pendant light up in my house yet – just bare bulbs (and, I’m embarrassed to say, one or two cobwebs!). I’d buy the Triple Layer Pendant Light at £199 and two of the Triple Shade Pendant White Copper at £99 each. Lovely!

  24. My house is currently a conundrum of half finished projects but my biggest one is the kitchen/dining area. So I would spend it all on that and then maybe we could have friends over for dinner finally! @JuJu_Carbo 😀 xxx

  25. I would like to put some life back into my living room. Id love one of the ripple rocker chairs and some new soft furnishings.

  26. I’d love to buy some cosy and luxurious throws, some nice candles and a fluffy rug, then I’ll be prepared for winter!

  27. With baby no 1 on the way we are moving lots of furniture around and this would definately help fill the gaps

  28. I would bring my living room up to date it is looking very dreary and negleted it needs a lot TLC and Dwell put the heart back into my home 🙂

  29. My kitchen needs finishing and i have a large empty wall space which needs utilising wisely, therefore, i’d spend the money on that.

  30. We’ve recently decorated our lounge & hallway but still in need of some pretty accessories so would love to get some cushions, candles & maybe a nice rug 🙂

  31. I would spend the money on revamping my bedroom, with new covers, curtains and accessories all nice and new ready for Christmas.

  32. Just bought my first home!!! 😀 This would go towards the amazing convertible coffee table!! …. Genius design, perfect for small spaces!

  33. My daughter has gone to uni and while she is away I would love to reinvent her room. Change it from the frilly childs room to something a bit more grown up and suiting to a student studying business management and accounting! Fab prize!

  34. Me and my husband love Dwell, we would use the money to start kitting out our dinning room which is our next project once the pennies have saved up 🙂 Great comp and prize 🙂 xx

  35. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to give this voucher to my dad. He is the most selfless, kind, generous person I know and I know he’s dying to buy himself a new sofa for his office, he just doesn’t treat himself to anything as he’s always buying things for family members and helping them out instead of buying new things for himself. Id LOVE to be able to give him this and say thank you for everything he’s done to help me and everyone over the years. I know he’d be so over the moon with a dwell voucher, his office is the one room he escapes to and I ‘d love for him to be able to furnish it with the beautiful firenze sofa that he’s been after. Fingers crossed!!

  36. I love the look of Dwell products and I would use the voucher towards enhancing my loving area and giving it a classy, grown up look.

  37. I’d love to get some gorgeous accessories. Cushions for the sofas, a rug for the sitting room and throw for the sofa. Our house would be so cosy in winter 🙂

  38. I’d treat myself to a really nice comfy modern chair, the stunning Ripple rocker with chrome legs in black would be perfect!

  39. I have been adoring a new desk in Dwell catalogues for nigh on two years & other things keep coming up, so I would definitely get that & if it’s possible to get it in the January sales there is also a nice matching chair. 🙂

  40. I just love Dwell and often potter around it. the staff are great, friendly and not pushy like some stores. if I was lucky enough to win, Id buy some iconic items for each room. For my spare bedroom & For the Living Room booksshelf & the Sofa & not forgetting the Bathroom – quite alot for your money!

  41. I would use the voucher to purchase a new TV unit. I love your Circa one. Brilliant competition 🙂 All entered, thank you very much!

  42. We’ve just set up home together (2nd time around for us both). With 4 teenage /early 20s kids we have a tight budget. It would be nice to get the living room sorted for our first family Christmas

  43. I’d probably use it to get one of those Clasp Rotating Storage coffee tables. Not sure which one yet though… hmm
