Hi! I’m Lucy, author of Decorenvy. This is an interiors blog for those who are bored of the high street.

Have you ever chosen something new for your home and then seen the exact same thing at your friends’ houses (I’m looking at you, IKEA)? Are you trying to make your space suit your personality, but frustrated at the lack of choice when browsing the collections of big-name retailers? Decorating out of a catalogue is so unexciting, but it’s hard to find unusual designs and put your own stamp on your home if you’re short on time or don’t know where to look.

It’s from this need for interesting decorating ideas that Decorenvy was born. It began as a sort of digital scrapbook when I started decorating my own place in 2013, so I had somewhere to record the things I found along the way. After a while I grew tired of the samey-ness of the high street interiors brands, so since then it has evolved to become a resource book for anyone looking for an alternative to big-name retailers and identikit interiors. This blog will show you around interesting homes, help you discover unusual and obscure interiors brands from all over the world, and chronicle the odd DIY project as I attempt to smarten up my rented flat.

Since its launch Decorenvy has won and been nominated for a variety of awards, as well as being featured in ELLE Decoration, EKBB and HomeStyle Magazines.

All content on this site is written exclusively by me; I don’t accept content written by external companies. However if you have something you think would fit with Decorenvy’s style, feel free to send me an email and I’d love to take a look.

When sourcing content for Decorenvy I make every effort to find and credit the original source of any images used, as well as linking to where I found them. If you can see your work here and it isn’t properly credited, please email me and I will happily fix this or, if you’d prefer, remove it altogether.

Sponsorship & Promotions

This is a much talked-about topic in the blogging world, and something that I deliberated over for a long time. Ideally I would love to keep this space totally free of paid-for content, but the reality is that as Decorenvy grows so does the cost of maintaining it.

As such this blog includes intermittent advertising (in the sidebar) and the occasional piece of sponsored content. All sponsored content is clearly marked and filed in the ‘promotions’ category. All revenue generated through these posts is reinvested back Decorenvy, covering expenses such as site hosting, travel and camera equipment.

I only accept sponsored content or adverts from companies I genuinely like and am happy to endorse. If I wouldn’t put it in my home, it doesn’t go on this blog.

If you are a brand looking for advertising or sponsorship opportunities you can email me here. Before doing so please take the time to read the FAQ and make sure that what you’re offering is in line with Decorenvy’s aesthetics.
